I "knew" about Alexa and the importance of having a good traffic ranking there. But I didn’t really "KNOW" about Alexa.

I knew it was essential to promote my website and when my promoting did well my site was visible on the Alexa traffic ranking screen.

I knew I could add "Related Links," but I didn’t really understand what that was all about.

Now get this - when you OWN your website, you can go in an add the other websites you own to your related links, and your sites ALL benefit...BECAUSE...the more sites that are linked together, the more it stimulates your traffic AND the more traffic you have -----the better paying adsense ads that are placed on your websites!

So, it all fits together....and the big get bigger and the small struggle, so what’s new?

No, you can’t link your affiliate programs! My whole point here is for us to get away from working for other people....selling their books, or programs,,,promoting for them....kinda like being at a "JOB"... (That’s why I’ve decided that I needed to own more websites, as I explained in my earlier blog posts.)

SO, when you’re ready - log in to http://alexa.com/ , click on the tab that says Traffic Rankings, plug in the name of your website. Click on the Get Traffic Details button. In the bottom right corner of the screen it says "Related Link Suggestion Box" - click that. Scroll down and enter the links to all your websites, up to 20. Enter your email address and click submit. You will receive a confirmation email with a link to click and when you do that it will say "successfully submitted" Working through Alexa can take awhile, depending on how many websites you own. While you’re there you'll probably want to look at some of the top performers; it's interesting to see how their sites are designed, etc.

Next is to promote, promote, promote to increase traffic and get better paying adsense ads on the sites that have those. So, personally, I’m promoting harder on the sites currently receiving income from adsense ads in hopes of increasing the volume and thereby giving me better paying ads.

You can get a lot of "hits" - where people do traffic exchanges and quite often they have their system set up to work several exchanges at the same time, they minimize it all and never actually "see" anything. Obviously, I only want viewers who actually SEE my site. For me, Instant Offense sends me viewers who actually spend some time and look around my my sites. I highly recommend them!
