Give Me Five Minutes.....

"Give Me 5 Minutes & I'll Tell You How Much $$ Is In Your Bank Account" by Ann Preston -- http://DynamicMarketingConsulting.com/Business101.html

It is quality information and free marketing resources for you. I encourage you to subscibe to her free newsletter. She also offers a free marketing CD, and you only pay shipping. I will be studying her CD and her other websites to see what other new free marketing tools she has that I'd like to share with you.

I will be exchanging links with her, so I'll be able to monitor for you how much better it is to go through the process of finding other's websites with similar interests as mine to exchange links rather than just paying a service for the purpose of "doing it faster." Faster may not be better. We'll see. The more personal way may take a little longer but is also FREE....linking to me.

I am also subscribed to: http://www.BuildYourOwnBusiness.biz I get a weekly update of the newest and best articles on the net. That's where I found Ann Preston's article. I learn from reading others in that newsletter also. And it's FREE.

In a discussion this morning, I offered to exchange website critiques.....which is actually a very good idea! So I'll make you the same offer. Feel free to critique my sites; and I'll be glad to critique yours for you. (My other sites are listed on the sidebar links.) We may learn something (free) from each other. We may find another site with similar interests and can share links. Our purpose is after all, to increase our online earnings as economically as possible. Be aware, however, that I am extremely honest, so if you don't really want to know what I think, don't ask me. And I expect the same in return. You may hold the key to something simple I could be doing much easier, or better...and I would greatly appreciate knowing it!

Here it is -

This information is from my personal experience, so it’s "my opinion." Others may have a completely different experience, so this is just from my point of view, for your consideration.
I am not associated, I’m just sharing information with you because I promised to give you a progress report. So, here it is.....

Sorting through submission services to determine what works best, I’ve come to the opinion that it is best to vary online advertising. Something may work for awhile, but it’s freshness wears off. Every site has it’s regular viewers, and after they’ve seen my link a few times those viewers have bookmarked it for later, taken advantage of my site’s services, or are ignoring it. That’s one of the reasons I really like the "free" marketing tools....freshness is fleeting!

One of the tools I really like is http://InstantOffense.com It’s inexpensive, and I could tell from my stats that the viewers actually spent some time on my website. I purchased their service through ebay...their merchant id is ehost, if you want to check them out - I got a couple really good bargains.

Then I was concerned that directories are equally as important as search engines, and decided to promote two of my websites with: www.megawebpromotion.com Their site says it spiders to all the engines and directories @ $59. for 3 mo. and submits to more than half a million high traffic sites throughout multiple networks. They email me reports with lists of FFA’s they’ve submitted to. This seems to be rather slow building results, but maybe for $20. a month, it’s worth a try.

Guaranteed front page placement: http://www.berankednumberl.net For two of my sites I chose the $34.95 deal; one @$119.95 and they guarantee to have your site ranked on page number one within 7 days. The first deal is on two engines; the second on twelve engines. They say they don’t charge your card until they send you the proof. I have asked several times, had an email back that it was done and sent to me, but I haven’t seen the reports. I can see some search engine coverage increase checking the sites through my BuildTraffic account, but it would be nice to "know" how to actually see it for myself.

And we’ve heard you need to have links back to your website. Okay, so how to do that? Well, you can write emails, possibly exchange links, which would take a long time if you ever get anywhere with that - or use "services" So I signed up with 2 companies with two different websites so I could monitor results: http://www.linkexchangeexperts.com/WhyLink.aspx 385 one way link backs $24.95 mo. and http://linkbuildingdirect.com/?AffID=2010 271 one way links @$24.95 mo. (Yes, need to make an exception here, this one does have an affiliate program, and I became and affiliate, and very quickly earned $24.95 so it paid for itself.) These services are the same price, one has more link backs, the other has an affiliate program. I plan to monitor my websites on Alexa and see how soon this makes a difference.

http://www.coffeecup.com/ Is a free download for working on your website if you aren’t a web guru. http://submitfire.coffeecup.com/ Will submit your website to 3000 search engines @$7.95 a month. This features includes really great site analysis tools. I’m trying this for one of my other sites.

I have used several traffic services. Most of them just send "hits" not visitors. Although that does help build your stats, it doesn’t get you clients. For the same price, I am currently trying
http://www.i-web-marketing.com/ They send full page views and I have a stats page.
Hint: From my stats page, I can click on Edit, and the bottom click Find and fill in the date and it will show me all the visitors I had that day.

Maybe this info will give you something to think about. Blogs are good. If you don't have one, consider getting one....this is a good place, that is, IF you have valuable information to share.

Free Newsletters are good. I haven’t started sending mine yet, but that’s on my "to do" list. I have about 3,000 subscribers waiting to receive it. You can still request my FREE Newsletter. I quite likely will be offering a weekly newsletter that won’t be free on Ebay. I’ll post here when both are ready.

Meanwhile, FREE is fabulous! There are many free tools in this blog - enjoy!

Don't Cheat!

PLEASE do not click illegally on the Adsense Ads in any of my websites! I just had a very upsetting email from them telling me there has been illegal clicking. That's nice if you like me and just want to help me, but please don't....it doesn't help!

Honesty is my policy, and actually I'm so blantantly honest, it's almost a flaw. I say almost because it's difficult to admit I have "defects." But, that one is right up there. If you don't want to know what I think of your website, your clothes, or anything else...then don't ask me!

I work seriously to present quality information to you, and to share what I have learned so you can learn from my experience rather than at your own expense. My websites are quality. No "cheating" is necessary for my websites to be valuable to you. If you can learn from the ad info, and seriously want to know, then go ahead and check it out.....just don't cheat, please!

Thank you!

More FREE Tools -

More FREE Tools for promoting your websites:

http://www.splatsearch.com/submit.html
Free submission to Splat Search Engine says it will take 6-8 weeks, or they say for priority you can pay $8. yr. I did the free one and it was listed quickly, and I'm getting visitors from it. You can click instant submit, but submit preview shows info you can change before you post and I prefer that way. They have a darling icon!

http://www.ineedhits.com/free-tools/submit-free.aspx
Free submissions to 20 "other" search engines. There are only half a dozen engines that seem very familiar However, to avoid spamming, submit to one using the www and to the other without. It is important to submit to search engines regularly, but monthly is the recommended time frame.

There are other submission services that aren't free, and I'm in the process of analyzing and comparing. FYI - I'm not associated with most of the tools I present to you. Take advantage of all the free marketing tools in this blog, and at http://DynamicMarketingConsulting.com

Wow!

Joel Comm (Dr. Adsense) sent me a "fabulous" email this morning in which he was sharing info from his friend, Eric Holmlund who had "discovered" something he felt would be great for Joel's AdSense students. I'd seen this product online, and bookmarked it to get later. HyperVRE ... have you noticed it yet? It retails for $167.00...and I thought at some point it would be good to have. It is for the purpose of designing websites and promoting your websites much more easily and profitably!

Quoting Joel, "Eric said that I could show you his video that demonstrates exactly how this free tool works."

What About FFA's?

It's important to submit to search engines on a regular basis to increase your website's visibility. Some people say it's only important to submit to the major engines, but it doesn't hurt to submit to more. There are tools out there that say use this and submit to 1200, use this and submit to 800,000.....so we just need to use our good sense and determine what is best for us. I keep studying.

There is a free tool for you on nearly all the pages of my website, called the Free Google ToolBar. Just go over there and pick it up: http://DynamicMarketingConsulting.com/BookNook.html is fine, or any of the other pages.

Anyway, it was time for me to submit my websites again, and I wanted to see how they were improving so I plugged in my tools. It seems I have quite a bit more work to do! The end analysis was that I should get busy promoting to FFA's. There is always a discussion about FFA's. Some people tell you it's just a waste of time, that you might get six visitors a month from it. Well, that would be six visitors I wouldn't have had otherwise, and they might like my site well enough to bookmark it. But the main reason for promoting to FFA's is because doing so increases your Search Engine popularity! Doesn't that seem important to you? It does to me!!

My next task was to research FFA tools available to determine what would be best, easiest, and cheapest overall. I found one that gave me a free trial download. It was fairly easy to use. Here it is, if you want to see it yourself: http://www.perfectdownloads.com/internet/other/download-ffa-blaster.htm However, it only sent my link to 100 ffa's using the free trial version.....not to thousands.

Then I found "Exploit Submission Wizard", which Microsoft honored with their ShareWare of the Week Award. That should speak pretty well for it. There is a free trial download: http://www.exploit.com/wizard/download.html?bestbiz I didn't download it. There are many.

After sorting through a few dozen, this is my favorite: http://hbb.nu/freesubmit/ It is just a simple website! It isn't a trial; nothing to buy. TOTALLY FREE - Submit your website to 9500+ Free-For-All links pages. Very simple. Just plug in your info. It is submitted instantly. Submit as many sites as you'd like. I have now added this to my daily marketing repertoire. Easy and Free - it doesn't get much better than that.

Be Linked TO -

Okay, so we know to get more traffic and better ranking for our website, we need other websites to link TO ours. How to get them to do that? It seems we can spend a great deal of time looking for sites whose clients might be interested in our info, then email the website owner and ask them to link to us. If they're willing to do that at all, they'll probably want us to reciprocate and link to them. So what is the solution?

I just found it! This company will have over 250 appropriate sites link to your website without a link back to them for only $24.95 a month. I'm eager to try this myself and I thought you might be too:
Link to Me

Then I'll be anxious to see in Alexa who all will be showing as linking to my website!

Do you have any linking ideas to share?

Eager to be Linked (to)!

New Page -

Just added to new page of resources: http://DynamicMarketingConsulting.com/BookNook.html

Also just made notes in the E-Sites page that I'm already selling some of my smaller websites and having new bigger ones designed. I originally thought that I was all set to just improve and promote what I had, but one sure thing about life is change. Technology moves so rapidly, and we need to keep up with the times and trends. I'm trying to keep you posted as I learn.

You have probably noticed also, that internet traffic is rather slow right now. That's because people are getting out for that last little vacation before school starts. It seems that people have waited longer this summer to go, and are staying closer to home because of fuel prices. We just need to be aware to better determine our marketing plans. Cheap and free advertising are wonderful right now, because you're not hitting the masses heavily until people are home for awhile again in September. Personally, I preferred to plan my vacations just before Memorial Day, or just after Labor Day because people with kids can only vacation when school is not in session. As soon as school is out it's like someone opened the flood gates at the mall.... and with Labor Day, the reverse was true.

So, awareness, awareness, awareness, is our key to success! Use some of the free marketing tools in earlier posts. Do your marketing at this time with "eyes wide open."

School bells will be ringing soon!

Worth Repeating -

I mentioned this FREE Banner posting site earlier, but feel it bears repeating as a free tool:

http://www.bizprogram.biz/

This site has pages and pages of banners. They are fun to browse through. The more frequently someone clicks on your banner, the closer it stays to the top of the page. So actually, the more of us who promote this site a bit helps benefit all of us. And it is a really cool site.

Enjoy!

Cheap Unique Visitors -

This is really cool, guys! Yesterday when I was posting I noticed an Adsense on the right side of this page. Now of course, I can't click on my own page's adsense ads, so I did the copy and paste to look at it. This seems to be an incredible marketing tool for us. It isn't free, but is cheap:

Follow Up -

One of the most important things I ever learned was the value of "follow up" and how to do it. It is one of those critical lessons I've learned. It's great to set goals and accomplish much and it's wise to prioritize. We're busy people! We monitor our success by results. But have you ever looked back and thought something that was a very good idea hadn't produced the results you wanted?

Well, I have. Both at work, and at home. I felt the pinch when I was once reminded at work that my follow up was lacking. But in the long run, it was one of the most valuable bits of constructive criticism I ever received.

How can you know when you've arrived if you don't know where you are? So I have learned to document, document, document. One of the best things I ever did for myself was to create a daily journal in my word program of everything that happens during the day. I've named it "Diary." I can easily go back to see "when" a certain advertising campaign started, who I spoke with at what phone number, a new thought for another project, etc.

This method proved to be useful when I had a large staff. If there was an employee disciplinary problem I had dates that could be very important for legal matters.

For another firm, I was managing everything, but the the owners were at a different location. Sometimes they would get calls and questions, but didn't know the answers. So I just emailed them my notes at the end of the day. In return they emailed me their daily notes so we would all have complete information and not be redundant in our efforts, or seem inept when someone needed to know something. Sharing information isn't a sign of weakness.

It's easy to just print out a page, or part of a page so staff working on the same project to be apprised of the current progress. It's just a written record, mostly for myself and I have found this to be an invaluable tool, personally.

For example, right now I have several different advertising campaigns running with several different companies for several of my websites. If I didn't have my "Diary", my brain would be in a state of mass confusion! There are many things I need to remember to work on, and I don't want to waste alot of time chasing phone numbers, or "digging" for my answers.

Franklin day planners are a very useful tool for prioritizing. I have used that system. The most valuable thing I learned from that system was to begin and end each work day reviewing my notes, seeing what needed to be done, noting the progress and prioritizing.

We all need a good system - a road map, if you will. I like to be able to mark things off my "to do" list. I like to recognize and reward the quality contributed by others. I enjoy feeling pride when I am able to tell myself "Good job, self!"

So, I guess your "free marketing tool" for today has been a peek into my "Diary."

Save yourselves alot of hassles.....
Follow up, follow up, follow up!

------------------------
That is one of my new websites I've been telling you about, but have just now opened the forum.
Don't plan to acquire any more websites, just marketing and improving the ones I now have.
Your honest critique of the sites will be appreciated.

My mission here is to "figure out" how John Q. Public can own their own website and have adequate tools to promote it as inexpensively as possible and earn good money with it. You know as we look around, everybody is out there just trying to "sell their stuff"....of course, so how do you know what to do....they all tell you to just buy this, but will that really help YOU?

That's what I'm trying to sort out for you....which ones WILL actually help YOU.

Right now I'm working on the advertising aspects. I have paid one company to promote two of my new websites for 3 months. They are to use search engines, directories, and web malls....they "supposedly" know exactly which ones are best for "my" sites... so we'll see how that works then I'll tell you if it's good. I have a few more things to fix on my newest website and intend to do an advertising campaign with a different company that promises to make it #1 on the major search engines...so I'll see how that one works too. Then I'll tell you which way is better.

Meanwhile, here is your free marketing tool for today:
http://www.free-banners.com/
Free-Banners is a fantastic new way to get more exposure for your web site while earning you CASH! Just think - when you become a member you can get your banner ad exchanged on over 150,000 other members sites. FYI- This link can be found at the bottom of my new forum.
