Free Trial ???
This post is a WARNING! Run, don't walk whenever you see this term....it is a bait and switch.
Okay, I'm a slow learner so I "tried" it twice. The first was Video Professor. On TV they ask how he can afford to do this and he says it's because you will become a loyal customer after you see how fabulous his products are. Actually, you pay shipping and handling up front which is what you're expecting and that's fine. What they don't tell you is that "trial" means you have like two weeks to check it out and get a return number or you will be automatically billed somewhere around $75. AND you will automatically received other regular shipments at these prices. These "things" are much easier to "get" than they are to "get rid of" because they have "procedures."
The second one I tried is Hydroderm....a nice little popup on Yahoo Mail. The product looks great. It's a full size two month size of two products...free trial for only $3.95 shipping. Yeah, right! When it arrives, the product is what it says. The note says at the top so you'll be sure to see it....you have so many days to try this product, and if it isn't for you...call to get your return number and send it back or be billed $69. and be automatically shipped to every 60 days for this same amount.
When I called about this one the operator said "This is a 'trial' not a 'sample'." Okay....well, I read the fine print. They don't tell you until they send you the products that you're not actually "trying" anything...you're "buying" it...but you're not paying for two weeks, or whenever. Now to me that is bait and switch. I wanted to "try" it....really try it....and their tactics make me angry. So I keep them, because I do have them....but because I have freedom of speech, I can tell you about this rampant procedure. My warning is this: Be very aware it is probably not free...don't "try" it until you were planning to buy it anyway. Actually, there is no bargain to it....so in the future I'll just wait and set my own time to purchase.
This blog post is prompted because this morning I opened an email from a name network marketer and he was offering a "free" copy of a $495. online item....you got it....NOT. You got it...so even if you read the fine print in the "offer" you haven't read ALL of the fine print yet!
So, as they have always said,
"Buyer Beware"!
Have a great day -

P.S. Whenever I give you "free" tools....they ARE really "free"!
